Community Investing Conference Series to Take Place February 8 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Conference will explore the expanding arena of community investing and discuss community investing options that align social impact with financial return.
FORT LAUDERDALE--The Social Investment Forum has partnered with Ft. Lauderdale-based Community Capital Management to bring the third in a series of informative community investing events to south Florida on Tuesday, February 8, 2011.
The one-day conference will focus on the role community investing is playing in our nation's economic recovery with a special regional focus on examples from the southeastern United States. Attendees will learn how organizations are incorporating community investing, leveraging federal programs and meeting challenges in the marketplace to build stronger and more resilient communities.
Experts in the community investing space will be presenting, including:
- Luther M. Ragin, Jr., Vice President, Investments of The F.B. Heron Foundation;
- Phil Baldwin, President and Chief Executive Officer, Southern Bancorp;
- Art Stevens, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Calvert Foundation; and
