US SIF’s 2026 Peter DeSimone Scholarship - Applications open in March
Up to eight students are selected through a competitive process to receive the 2026 Peter DeSimone Scholarship. The scholarship allows students to attend the premier sustainable finance conference in the US from June 24-26th, 2026, free of charge, and is a fantastic opportunity to attend the US SIF FORUM 2026 and connect with sustainable investment experts.
The scholarship is named in memory of Peter DeSimone: a 20-plus year veteran of the sustainable investment community. Peter was a US SIF staff member for several years, inaugurating the position of Policy Director and helping launch our first conference.
The initial scholarship was created in 2013 and was renamed in Peter’s honor in 2015 following his passing the year before.

About Peter DeSimone

Scholarship Objectives
The objectives of the Scholarship Program are:
Enhance students’ knowledge of sustainable and impact investment
Encourage students to enter the field of sustainable investment upon graduation
Provide an opportunity for students to learn directly from leaders and experts in the field of sustainable investment through participating in the US SIF conference and being introduced to experts in the field.
Scholars are expected to attend the entire conference, including the Fundamentals of Sustainable and Impact Investment course and Member Day activities.
We encourage scholars to share their experience on social media and with the Peter DeSimone Alumni network.
