US SIF CEO Lisa Woll will speak on the plenary panel on December 6 at 11:25 am ET, The reality of ESG integration across asset classes. Is responsible investment actually making a dent in institutional investment in the Americas?” Woll will be joined by fellow panelist and US SIF member Cheryl Smith, Managing Partner & Portfolio Manager at Trillium Asset Management as well as Lev Dynkin, Head of Quantitative Portfolio Strategy Group at Barclays and Jennifer Sireklove, Director of Investment Strategy at Parametric. The panel will be moderated by Chris Fowle, Associate Director of the Americas and Global Networks & Outreach at the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI).

The panel will explore the following questions:

  • What does effective ESG integration look like?
  • How are institutional investors approaching ESG? What are the challenges?
  • How does research data support the integration of ESG?
  • Can ‘good' be measured? Could reporting and assessment change the game?
  • What's the real take up of RI/ESG in institutional investment in the Americas, and how could the Department of Labor ERISA guidance change the game?

During the panel discussion, Woll will share findings from the US SIF Foundation's biennial Report on US Sustainable, Responsible and Impact Investing Trends, which was released November 14. The 2016 Trends Report provides comprehensive data on asset managers and institutional investors using one or more sustainable investment strategies and examines a broad range of significant ESG issues, such as climate change, human rights, weapons avoidance and corporate governance.
