US SIF Foundation to Host Sustainable and Impact Investment Training in Santa Monica on February 8

Save the date for a live training organized by US SIF Foundation. 
 
Washington, D.C., January 11, 2017 - The US SIF Foundation's Center for Sustainable Investment Education will host a training event in the Los Angeles area on the Fundamentals of Sustainable and Impact Investment. The classroom training will be held at Dimensional Fund Advisors in Santa Monica, CA, on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Lunch and parking will be provided.
 
“Client demand for sustainable, responsible and impact investing (SRI) has never been greater,” said Lisa Woll, CEO of US SIF and the US SIF Foundation. “More than one out of every five dollars under professional management in the United States is invested using SRI strategies. Financial advisors and other investment professionals are looking for the tools to meet client demand.”
 
The course will give attendees historical context about SRI, explain how to incorporate sustainable and impact strategies into investment portfolios via ESG integration and shareholder engagement, present an overview of the latest trends and issues and provide guidance on how to communicate your SRI expertise. The course will be led by expert sustainable and impact investment practitioners.
 
Completion of Fundamentals of Sustainable and Impact Investment results in a certificate from the US SIF Foundation, and qualifies for 3 CFP® Board and 3 CFA Institute continuing education credits. IMCA also has accepted Fundamentals of Sustainable and Impact Investment for 3 hours of CE credit towards the CIMA®, CIMC® and CPWA® certifications.
