About
Former SEC Official on the Legal and Regulatory Hazards of Under-Disclosure
As ESG has come under political and legal pressure, companies of all kinds have scrubbed references to diversity, climate, and other ESG topics from their websites and marketing materials. But they may continue to represent to customers, clients, and investors that nothing has changed about their commitment to ESG. The inverse of "greenwashing," the new phenomenon of "greenhushing" creates similar risks from an SEC enforcement perspective. This webinar will explore what SEC scrutiny of "greenhushing" could look like, how a focus on greenhushing would fit into the current Commission's priorities, and how asset managers, advisers, and portfolio companies can protect themselves as they reconsider their ESG marketing and strategies.
