Position Summary

Brown Advisory’s Investment team is looking for an experienced impact investing analyst responsible for conducting research, selection and oversight of impact investments to be used in Brown Advisory’s Private Client, Endowment & Foundation (PCE&F) portfolios.  This position will report to the CIO of Sustainable Investing and will work closely with our manager research teams as well as be part of the firm’s sustainable investing team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Expert in impact investing and a strong understanding of the impact investment landscape

  • Serve as lead analyst representing Brown Advisory in due diligence discussions with current and prospective impact investment opportunities in a variety of asset classes

  • Provide thought leadership related to impact investing and partner with internal stakeholders to identify clients with interest in impact investments

  • Create a guiding framework for clients adding impact investments, portfolio construction as well assist in policy development

  • Develop monitoring and reporting tools for impact investments and impact portfolios

  • Participate in client meetings, external events, and other media outlets as a face of Brown Advisory’s impact investment thinking and build an expert network within the impact space

  • Assist with development of materials for clients and other investment review committees as necessary for managers/strategies regarding the various levels of research integration and positioning of managers to meet client’s mission-aligned objectives

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years’ experience working in investment research or a related field is required
