Position Summar 

The Analyst, Debt Conversions will report to the Deputy Managing Director, Debt Conversions in NatureVest. 
The Analyst’s role will support the NatureVest Debt Conversions team to develop and close transactions. The majority of the role will entail developing sophisticated financial models, performing due diligence and risk assessment/mitigation, conducting research, and developing internal and external written and presentation materials. The analyst will also assist in coordinating the implementation of country-level debt conversion projects, preparing documentation to support the development, establishment and operationalization of conservation trust funds,  and providing other assistance as needed. 
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience doing financial analysis;
  • Experience using and developing complex financial models;
  • Experience coordinating projects;
  • Experience generating reports and analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data; 
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams; and
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience working in debt capital markets, sovereign debt, and/or development/conservation finance;
  • Experience with blended and/or structured finance projects, particularly requiring credit enhancement;
  • Multi-lingual skills (French, Portuguese, or Spanish) and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experiences are appreciated;
  • Team player who can build relationships and work collaboratively across a global organization and with The Nature Conservancy partners;
  • Experience working with governments, multi-lateral, and/or bi-lateral institutions, particularly in finance;
  • Ability to implement complex processes;
  • International work experience desirable; 
  • Experience coordinating complex time-bound projects;
  • Strong organization skills, accuracy, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks; 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
