International Working Group: Events
The IWG annually hosts symposia for members to get together, discuss opportunities and developments in international socially responsible investing, and hear from invited speakers about up-and-coming issues of concern.
2012 Spring Symposium
March 27-28, 2012

US SIF, UKSIF and Eurosif bring to you an international symposium that will provide attendees with the opportunity to discuss developments and emerging issues in sustainable and responsible investment on a multnational level. Investors will also have the chance to discuss different corporate engagement strategies between North America and Europe, meet leaders in ESG investment in Europe, as well as a special event with Chief Executive Officers of SRI organizations globally.

15:00 - 17:00 Seminar: Cross-border Cooperation as the Keystone to Company Engagement?
Panelists offer up their experiences of working in collaboration with outside SRI partners, presenting case studies of when such collaboration has been effective and where it has raised problems when different ‘default’ styles come into play. The discussion will explore the benefits of overcoming the cultural barriers and embracing different approaches.
